S3 Congress - Safe, Smart and Sustainable materials

POLYMERIS is organizing the 8th edition of the S3 European Congress (Safe, Smart and Sustainable Materials), in partnership with Swiss Polymers Cluster and other European partners. This new edition will bring together industry professionals, technical centers, researchers, universities, local authorities, and European project leaders to discuss the major challenges of the transition of polymer, composite, and elastomer materials.

The program includes: conferences, industrial feedback, European collaborative projects, networking, and a technical visit.

Proposed themes:

• Bio-based, biodegradable, and compostable polymers
• Mechanical, chemical, and enzymatic recycling
• Circular economy, ecodesign, and life cycle assessment (LCA)
• Sustainable polymer, composite, and elastomer materials
• Innovations in rubber and elastomers for a sustainable future
• Additives, formulation, and compounding for thermoplastics and elastomers
• Processing methods and sustainable manufacturing

This event is aimed at all types of stakeholders (start-ups, SMEs, Mid-caps, Corporations, Academic Laboratories, Universities, Technical Centers, Institutions).

Call for Papers – before July 30, 2026

Interested in speaking? Send us an abstract (max ½ page) of your proposal, focusing on innovation projects, industrialization, or shared technological platforms.

Two possible formats: project presentation (15 min) or poster.

As space is limited, selection will be based on the innovative nature of the proposal, its relevance to the theme, and the clarity of the abstract.
